My 50th Birthday Presents from My Family

My daughter thought it would be a great idea to give me an ove glove for my birthday. I had never heard of or seen one before, so when I opened my gift I had to ask what it was. After everyone got done laughing, she told me that she had gotten a set for herself and fell in love with them and knew that I would too. I think I will be getting a few sets to give out for Christmas this year, I am going to get them now to be on the safe side.

My father must have been shopping with my daughter when she got my gift because he gave me a knife sharpener that is also seen on a TV commercial. I guess he got tired of coming to my house for dinner and not having any sharp knives to carve the meat with. I have to admit, it was a very useful gift.  Knowing my dad, I am sure he got himself one too, he always gets himself something and then decides he needs to get one for everyone he knows.

The gift that surprised me the most was the blood pressure monitor I got from my husband. I have never had a blood pressure issue. I am thinking it was a gag gift, poking fun of the fact that I am now 50 years old and on the downside of the hill. I think he is just jealous that I am in such good shape for my age.
